About Us

SafeHandS Consultants Ltd is a specialist health and safety compliance design service provider offering Principal Designer dutyholder roles and responsibilities. Established with a vision to enhance safety in the construction industry, SafeHandS Consultants Ltd started its journey recently to provide specialist health and safety design compliance under the Building Safety Act 2022, the Building Regulations and the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. Danny and Angie Coomber have served a diverse client base over many years including Clients, developers, Architects, designers, Principal Contractors and Contractors. The passion to do what is right has lead Angie and Danny to establish SafeHandS Consultants Ltd (SHCL) evidencing their commitment to taking responsibility for compliance whenever it comes their way.

Danny Coomber MCIOB CMaPS

Danny Coomber, the Principal Designer behind SafeHandS Consultants Ltd, is recognised within the health and safety compliance industry. He is a Certified Member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and is one of the first people to be listed on the APS Register as a Building Regulations Principal Designer for all building typologies including HRBs. Additionally, he is an Assessor for applicants to the APS to be placed on the register.

Danny is the author of accredited training for dutyholders and regularly delivers compliance training courses, seminars and webinars.

Angie Coomber

Angie Coomber has over 16 years’ experience working in the construction industry, directly working on projects as well as supporting other service providers to discharge compliance duties. She has the necessary skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours delivering services under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations supporting all dutyholders, providing advice and assistance for compliance, and is currently upskilling her foundation knowledge and understanding accrued over the past 16 years, to include for the Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) and Building Regulations (BRegs) in support of the new dutyholder roles and functions.

Key to Angie’s upskilling is behaviour. Having successfully completed a course and certification in Mental Health First Aid, she has evidence in support of this expectation under the BSA.

Our Services

Safe HandS Consultants offer a range of services including Principal Designer CDM and BRegs Dutyholder Services, Health & Safety, Training and Fire Safety Consultancy. We “teach what we practice and practice what we teach” to bring you knowledge and learning en route to compliance.
